Who guides you

Visit Morocco with Lahcen is the website of Aït Benali Lahcen, an independent tour guide, holder of professional guide licence no. 617. It is not a travel agency. A tour guide for over 20 years, he works both with several travel agencies and entirely independently, in collaboration with other guides. To our knowledge, these guides are professionals.

The request

Sending a request is free and commits you to nothing. No booking and no payment is made on the website. Please give accurate information, so that the proposal matches your trip. Sending a request does not entitle you to a proposal: the guide remains free to accept or decline any request, for any reason, without having to give a reason. As long as no proposal has been accepted, there is no commitment on either side.

The proposal

We reply with a written proposal: the day-by-day programme, what the guiding includes and its price. The descriptions of the stops on the website are for guidance only; only the proposal you accept counts.

What is not included

Unless otherwise stated in writing in the proposal, accommodation, transport, meals and entrance fees are not included in the price of the guiding. Our accommodation suggestions are advice: you book and pay these providers directly, under their own terms.

Confirmation

The guiding is confirmed when you accept the guide’s proposal by email.

Replacement of the guide

If the guide is not available on the planned dates, the guiding may be provided by another tour guide holding the professional licence, whom he sends in his place. You are informed by email before departure, with the name of the replacement guide. The agreed programme and price remain the same. If this replacement does not suit you, you may cancel free of charge: any amount already paid will be refunded.

Payment

No payment is made on the website. The price, the time of payment and the payment method are agreed by email or WhatsApp between the guide and you, before confirmation, and are kept in writing. A phone call may be used to discuss them, but the final agreement is always confirmed in writing. No extra charge may be asked of you without your prior agreement.

Cancellation

On site

The guide may adapt the programme for your safety (weather, road conditions, closure of a site). If this changes the price, he tells you beforehand, and nothing is changed without your agreement. During walks and hikes, please follow his safety instructions.

Formalities

Each traveller is responsible for their travel documents (passport, visa if required) and health formalities. Check them with the relevant authorities before departure.

Liability

The guide is responsible for the proper performance of his guiding. He is not responsible for services you book directly with other providers (accommodation, transport, catering), nor for events caused by the traveller, by the unforeseeable act of a third party or by force majeure.

Complaints

On site, tell the guide straight away so that he can put it right. After the trip, write to us at aitbenalihamza87@gmail.com; we will reply in writing. Once the guiding is over, no refund may be requested, whatever the reason: see the Cancellation and payment page.
